The first inhabitants of Yellowstone country were mountain men, who survived in this mountainous terrain by trapping, hunting and fishing the abundant wildlife in the area.
They used to call our area the Burnt Hole. From our front door to the South Plateau, over Targhee Pass to the Henry's Lake Mountain Range, from Skyline Ridge to the Gallatin Range, and on into Yellowstone National Park, we've explored and discovered the best trails, fishiest waters, most picturesque overlooks, and sneakiest hideouts for wildlife in Yellowstone country.
This year Blue Ribbon Flies has secured Special Use permits to guide your friends and family on a variety of trips throughout the Burnt Hole region. We've also secured Jennifer Holyer, a licensed teacher with a Master's degree to be your guide. Your children, wife, grandmother, or for that matter, husband, uncle or little brothers will be in good hands and have an unforgettable day with Jen while you float the Madison or walk-wade in Yellowstone Park with your favorite fishing guide.
In addition to dog sledding permits (you'd need to bring your own dogs and sled - unfortunately that's about the ONLY thing we're not already equipped for here at Blue Ribbon), we're excited to offer hiking, casting, bug-collecting, wildlife viewing and photography, painting, canoeing, kayaking, auto touring, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, and many other activities, in addition to basic fly-fishing instruction this year. In fact, our family guide is such a Renaissance woman, we're betting she can provide just about anything you and yours are interested in.
As you plan your trip to our neck of the woods, keep us in mind. Give us a call or an email, and Jen can work with you to plan the trip of a lifetime for the whole clan.
